GM!

I’ve been working for a while on https://statusalert.io which is a simple monitoring tool for your website.

It is in beta now and completely free, so feel free to check it out!
Any feedback is more than welcome!

Have a great week ahead, fellow indie hackers!

Today’s the day I finished my tool directory, https://banana.dog

It was fun.

At the beginning I wanted to use Astro with a ton of functionality, where I could use AI to scrape remote websites and generate descriptions and so on… But guess what? I got so overwhelmed by all that, I never had the time or energy to work on it.

So I decided to keep it plain HTML and build it using MRs in GitLab.There were quite a few requests to publish in my directory - let’s see how many actually open MRs.

And if anyone wants to have their tool featured, just open an MR here:

Today is the day banana.dog was (re)born.

April 1st β€” Fool’s Day β€” and the day the King rose from the death bed to the throne. πŸ‘‘πŸŒπŸΆ

Like many indie makers, I struggled to get traffic to my recently built tool β€” certdecoder.com.

To get traffic, you need high DR.

To get high DR, you need to submit to directories... and most of those are a pain in the ass.

So, long story short: I decided to do something stupid.

And Fool’s Day felt like the perfect time to do it.

Today, the homepage of banana.dog went live β€” a directory for small (and not-so-small) tools that deserve a little more spotlight.

As King, Banana.dog has its own taste. Your tool might not make the cut.

But one thing the King promises: there will always be a free listing option.

Long live the KING. πŸ‘‘πŸŒπŸΆ
