Feel the same way, just moved to vercel since I had some unknown issues (will probably move back to vps). But the pricing is so hard to understand 🤯

yeah I think once familiar with both, it's okay to switch between self host or something liek vercel. I just loved vercel's ease of deployment

I've just about replicated the build process with github actions now though, writing it up cos it's taken a day to get it working

I only usually pay $20 a month to host on vercel, so I paid 5 months extra for going over some limit

It would hit around $2k charges if I don't move. Within 4 days I went from a 75% usage warning for serverless function execution, to $120 extra charge = 500% increase

I checked the billing and there's a lot going on, seems less technical to run my own vps..so now waiting for the DNS to propagate

not yet deployed to production, but I've had to make an invite only system for Prototypr due to influx of spam signups :(
