Feel the same way, just moved to vercel since I had some unknown issues (will probably move back to vps). But the pricing is so hard to understand 🤯

yeah I think once familiar with both, it's okay to switch between self host or something liek vercel. I just loved vercel's ease of deploymentÂ
I've just about replicated the build process with github actions now though, writing it up cos it's taken a day to get it working Â

I only usually pay $20 a month to host on vercel, so I paid 5 months extra for going over some limitÂ
It would hit around $2k charges if I don't move. Within 4 days I went from a 75% usage warning for serverless function execution, to $120 extra charge = 500% increase
I checked the billing and there's a lot going on, seems less technical to run my own vps..so now waiting for the DNS to propagate
