Small update for visimock 🤗

Today I worked on text editing functionality and customization for Visimock.

Overall, it was pretty fun, and I experimented with some custom components to make it more interactive & easy to use.

What I did:

✏️ Implemented text editing features, like color, scale, alignment

🖼 Ability to upload custom image or select a custom color background

Next tasks:

🖥 Implement direct demo preview on X profile

💾 Ability to export the final image

Managed to (almost) fully replicate the X profile demo for Visimock 🛠️

Current features:

🖼️ Uploading custom avatar and banner images

✍️ Updating bio

⚙️ Changing profile settings (website, location, etc.)

✏️ Editing tweet content and interactivity (likes, retweets)

Plan for this week:

🎨 Implementing custom X header image generator

To be honest I definitely spent too much time on the design and too little on marketing and validating 😅

Main changes:

• 🌐 Updated landing page
• 🛠  Expanded the free tool and made it more compact (and easier to expand upon)
• 📝 Added a feedback form

I realize my shipping time is slow, but I try to iterate whenever I can.

My current challenges:

• 🎨 Learning UI/UX design
• 📅 Proper project planning
• 🗣  User interviews (when I get people on the waitlist)

I just remembered that I haven't made my intro post yet 😅

So here we are.

My name is Kristjan (you can call me Kris), and my focus is building apps with Next.js. As a recent Indie Hacker, I have been in the space since around August of last year, and I have been learning web development since June.

I am also building in public on Twitter/X with the goal of becoming a startup founder. I spent four months on my first idea with little to no progress, but I learned a lot.

Right now I am building my second app called Visimock.

It's a tool targeted at creators, solopreneurs, and agencies who want to make their brand image consistent and test their image assets before actually updating their profiles. 💻

I have launched a waitlist landing page with a simple demo if you care to try it out.
